1-2 Day Youth Peer Education Training

In this 1-2 Training for youth, we will train your youth in the basic Peer Helping Skills and Information that they need to act as Peer Helpers for:

• Buddy/Orientation/Welcoming new students
• Peer Counseling Programs
• Violence Prevention/Bully Prevention
• Peer Tutoring
• Conflict Management

Some of the basic core skills include Active Listening, Paraphrasing, Question Asking, Decision Making, How to make your peers feel comfortable, etc. Please note, that we will tailor the training to the specific needs and services your youth will be providing.

A one day Training on Presentation/Peer Education Skills
In this fun, interactive and exciting all day training for youth, your Peer Helpers will get trained in how to create and present Powerful Peer Education Presentations. Some of the issues we will look at include:

• What makes a great presentation
• Presentation Busters
• Public Speaking 101
• How to handle disruptions
• How to break down the typical 45 Minute Presentation
• Presentation/Theater Skills Training
• Creating Meaningful and Fun Skits with a message
• How to make sure your message is getting out
• How to get everyone to participate
