A powerful peer helping program trains young people
with very specific skills to provide services to other youth –
their peers in a well thought out systematic way.
Peer helping programs provides support, prevention, education, intervention,
and referral services to youth by training youth in skills including
communication, decision-making, self awareness, assertiveness and
helping skills.
Peer Resource Training offers over 30 years of expertise
and experience in training youth and adults from across the country.

Training of Trainers
This two day training is geared
towards any adult interested in setting up a program or who
will be training youth to become peer educators on tobacco,
drugs, violence prevention, alcohol and other health related
issues, co-facilitators of support groups, peer counselors,
peer tutors, peer mediators, peer helpers, etc. |

Training
Tobacco Peer Education Teams
In this one-day fun filled interactive
workshop, we will train youth and their advisors to provide peer
education on the dangers of tobacco to students at their school,
or to their feeder schools. We will focus on the latest information
about the dangers of tobacco and their immediate consequences.
Implement
a Comprehensive Tobacco Program
In this all day workshop for adults, we will
review how to implement a comprehensive Tobacco Program. In this
workshop everyone will leave with a Plan of Action for their program.
I like to refer to this as Taking your Tobacco program from Paper
to Reality.

Day Youth Peer Education Training
In this training for youth, we will train your
youth in the basic Peer Helping Skills and Information that they
need to act as Peer Helpers.
